“I’m fine.”

But are you really(C’mon, I’m a Midwesterner. We always say we’re fine.) And there we go, rushing through the tasks in our overstuffed Google calendars, proud that we’re so “busy” (read: important) and “productive” (read: worthy). But deep down, we feel disconnected from our inner spark. We don’t know how good we could potentially feel and we forgot how to articulate what really matters to us. As a functional medicine physician, mom of three, who suffered her own burnout, I get it.  I’ve been there. And now my life’s mission is to help high-achievers find their brain-body balance so they can show up as their most vibrant, authentic self with renewed energy to invest in creating a life on their terms.

Hi, I'm Lara Salyer.

I’m an ex-burned out family medicine physician turned Creativity Catalyst. I help high-performers redesign their life, move through burnout, and emerge as a flourishing artist of their own work/life masterpiece.

Rewind to 2016, when I was shocked to discover myself struggling with burnout 15 years into my career as a rural family medicine physician.  I started painting, drawing and running. This regular dose of blissful  neurochemical flow resulted in improved autonomy, wellbeing, and decreased stress, inspiring me to pursue additional certifications from the Institute for Functional Medicine and Flow Research Collective.

Now I spend my days working with my favorite people: patients, healthcare practitioners, and audiences across the world seeking to find authentic joy and renewed zest in their mind and body.  I use a blend of cognitive-behavioral, acceptance-commitment, and solutions-focused coaching along with evidence-based holistic recommendations to optimize your dysregulated stress response and find more flow.

I believe demographics and degrees are the worst way to describe a person.  Yeah, yeah–I’m a working mom of three, married, living in rural Wisconsin. Blah blah.  Snooze fest. Instead, I’d like to tell you that I not-so-secretly believe dogs are better than humans. If I had a deck of cards to play the game of life, I’d most likely play my curiosity card first. I grew up around my grandfather’s funeral home and have a fascination with death (and an embarrassing amount of authentic Halloween decor). It’s physically impossible for me to leave a Michael’s Arts and Crafts store in less than 60 minutes. I am a hardcore ambivert, which means I enthusiastically love connecting with others, but also need my solitude. My biggest strength is my openness, and my biggest weakness is the color teal. But if you really want the data, here’s my deets.
